Decorah School Board approves issuing contracts for 2018-2019

Since the Decorah School District settled with a 2-year contract agreement last year, Monday night's school board meeting didn't involve any contract negotiations.

The School Board unanimously approved issuing contracts for all district employees with a 2.25% salary increase. There will be no increase in health insurance costs for the 2018-2019 school year.

For Certified Staff, this means an additional $195 on the base salary, and a total overall cost of $209,563. For Administrative Assistants, Bus Drivers, Custodians, Food Service, Nurse, Para-Educators, Other Support Staff and Coaches, the cost is $73,820. For Administration Support the cost is $19,293, and for Administration, the cost is $27,066.
