Lights approved for the Decorah High School soccer field

After enthusiastic comments of support from Decorah soccer parents Ross and Nori Hadley during Monday's public hearing, the Decorah School board unanimously approved the bid for the installation of lights on the high school soccer field.

The bids came in $40,000 - $50,000 lower than expected with the lowest bid coming from Voltmer Electric, with a base bid of $161,478. The work is expected to begin the first week in June and is expected to be completed by July 20th.
