County officials are getting ready for more emergency drills

Winneshiek County Emergency Management Director Sean Snyder says he's been asked by other county department heads to do additional training to help governmental offices prepare for emergencies.

Snyder and Sheriff Dan Marx are putting together plans to do training for emergencies such as tornadoes, fires, active shootings and others.  The trainings--perhaps four sessions in all--will also be open to county agencies outside the Courthouse, such as Winneshiek County Public Health, and governments other than Winneshiek County, such as Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation.
