Auditions for New Minowa Players' summar musical will be on Saturday

Auditions for New Minowa Players' summer musical, "The Drowsy Chaperone," will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the New Minowa Players Theatre building at 906 South Mill Street.

Those auditioning for a main role should bring a short prepared monologue and approximately 16 bars of music to be sung with piano accompaniment. An accompanist will be provided. Actors preferring minor roles or chorus parts should also attend these auditions but need not bring prepared material. They will be taught a simple song from the show.

Everyone auditioning should bring a list of all conflicts between May 1 and June 24 and should dress appropriately for learning simple stage movement.
