Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah has again been named one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. This is the sixth time Winneshiek Medical Center has received the designation. WMC is the only hospital in the area to score in the top 100.
The award is based on eight measurements of hospital strength: Inpatient Market Share, Outpatient Market Share, Quality, Outcomes, Patient Perspective, Cost, Charge, and Financial Stability.
Said Winneshiek Medical Center chief administrative officer Lisa Radtke, "Our mission is to be a lifelong, trusted community health partner. The annual recognition speaks to our staff members' ongoing commitment to our patients and communities to provide, safe, quality, patient-centered care."
