EARL Public Transit offering new "cultural connection shuttle"

Posted: Wed, Apr 4, 2018 3:53 PM

EARL Public Transit, a program of Northeast Iowa Community Action, is starting a new service--the "Cultural Connection Shuttle." The shuttle will depart from the Farmers Market parking lot in Decorah on evenings when there are cultural events within the Tri-State area.

"We are kicking off the service with trips to the Chatfield Center for the Arts and are working on adding more events at different venues in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin," said EARL Public Transit Mobility Manager Sam Castro. "Having transportation to and from these events without having to worry about driving at night and parking will make it easier for people to enjoy some of the rich variety of activities the Tri-State area has to offer."

The first event for the shuttle will be this Saturday, April 7th, at 5:30 p.m. from Decorah to Chatfield, where there will be a performance by bluegrass band "Monroe Crossing."  Shuttle service is $10.50 each way per person; check or exact change only.  EARL buses are handicap accessible with a wheelchair lift and spots for two chairs.
