Demolition and construction are underway at Viking State Bank's downtown Decorah office

The Viking State Bank's main bank building at 321 West Water Street was demolished on Wednesday as work is underway on a new building.

The downtown office will remain closed Thursday and Friday, April 5th and 6th, but will be open again starting Saturday.  The new entrance for the downtown bank office will be on the south side of the building.
