Bru Hop offers shuttle service to and from local breweries

Having three breweries within a 13-mile radius has given Decorah resident Jim Dotzenrod the idea of offering a shuttle service to and from the breweries.

"Bru Hop" is the name of the shuttle service that offers rides to and from PIVO in Calmar and Pulpit Rock and Toppling Goliath in Decorah.

"This business is in its infancy, we are just beginning," says Dotzenrod. "With the Assassin release this weekend at Toppling Goliath, I'll have a better idea of what to expect. I just thought people would rather pay for a ride than get a DUI," shared Dotzenrod when asked by decorahnews.com what made him think of starting this business.

Dotzenrod has had very positive feedback.  Local hotels have been very supportive and had a lot to do with his decision to start this business.

For now Dotzenrod is the driver for the shuttle, but has spare drivers lined up if needed.

The services operates Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Call (563) 379-6403 for more information.
