New coat of paint freshens up the inside of the Decorah Public Library

The inside painting on the main floor of the Decorah Public Library is completed and will continue throughout the building.

"The paint has freshened things up a bit," said head librarian Kristin Torresdal. "We will be adding wall bookshelves and solar shades, and we will be hanging photo banners."

The painting, solar shades, and new furniture have already been paid for through donations received for building improvement or undesignated funds. The colorful photo banners have been paid by Friends of Decorah Public Library.

The inside renovations will continue the next few weeks as books and bookshelves get put back into place, solar shades are installed, wall bookshelves are installed, the photo banners are hung, and the new furniture starts to arrive.

The offices received fresh paint also
