Motor vehicle accident causes serious injury and $8,000 damage

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office reports a motor vehicle accident occurred at 2:53 a.m. Sunday in Canoe Township.

53-year-old Debra Bohr of Decorah was heading southeast on Wagon Road in her 2007 Nissan Murano when she lost control on a curve. Bohr entered the ditch, which had a significant drop off that caused the vehicle to rollover.  Bohr sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance.

The accident remains under investigation.  Charges are pending.
