Luther College is continuing its record of being able to book well-known bands.
Over the years, the Luther College Student Activities Council has attracted Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Colbie Caillat, FUN., Nick Jonas, Pentatonix, Jason Derulo, Ingrid Michaelson, Ben Folds, Parachute and Jason Mraz to perform on campus.
The Student Activities Council has announced it has booked Judah & the Lion to perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 5, in Luther College's Regents Center.
The band's chart topping hits include "Take It All Back" and "Suit and Jacket." It is known as "a bluegrass-hip hop-rock band"
Members of Judah & the Lion grew up in separate regions of the United States, came to Tennessee and merged their love of folk, hip-hop, rock and roll and pop music. Front man Judah Akers, mandolin player Brian Macdonald and banjo player Nate Zuercher started performing in 2015, then broke through with their single "Take It All Back" in 2017. The band has now shared stages with artists such as Twenty One Pilots, Ben Rector and Incubus
