New owners of two Marshalltown radio stations will include KDEC Decorah's owners

The Marshalltown newspaper, the Times-Republican, is reporting (http://www.timesrepublican.com/news/todays-news/2018/02/kfjb-kix101-1-ownership-change-proposed/) that the new owners of Marshalltown radio stations 1230 KFJB and KIX101.1 will include KDEC, Decorah owners Bob and Colleen Holtan.

The newspaper quotes Marshalltown Broadcasting Inc. General Manager Todd Steinkamp as saying, "An agreement has been signed, pending Federal Communications Commission approval...We expect approval in 60 to 90 days."

The Holtans, owners-operators of KDEC 1240 and KDEC-FM 100.5 in Decorah, lived in Marshalltown from 1987 to 1989. They will be partners with Steinkamp in the new ownership, "Trending Media, Inc."
