Four businesses awarded Biz Booster Challenge and Ag-Mini Grants

Four Winneshiek County businesses have been awarded funds from Winneshiek County Development's Biz Booster Challenge and Ag-Mini Grant programs.
 
Sunflower Child Development Center, Cardboard Robot, Seed Savers Exchange and OFF the Driftless Wellness and Adventure Co. will receive a total of around $17,000 in grants
 
In deciding which businesses were funded, a judging panel considers questions such as how feasible the business may be; what risks are associated with this business; and how this business will bring additional dollars into Winneshiek County.

Sunflower Child Development Center has received a grant to support its staff with the necessary programing, equipment and tools needed to provide a quality early childhood education.
 
Cardboard Robot's grant will be to boost their marketing efforts to educate customers about the possibilities their products can offer.
 
Seed Savers Exchange will use its grant to be able to attend the Independent Garden Show in Chicago in August—a trade show for more than 8,000 independent garden center owners, managers and buyers.

OFF the Driftless Wellness and Adventure Company will use its grant to buy additional angling boats for client and instructional use and to provide kayak angling services this upcoming season.
