For the second year in a row, two Winneshiek County girls have raised money so kids with diabetes can go to Camp Hertko Hollow, an Iowa camp for kids with diabetes

19-year-old Marissa Foels and 12-year-old Morgan Moen started "Blooms for Diabetes Education" in 2016.  Marissa's family owns The County Garden Flowers and Gifts in Decorah, so Marissa and Morgan came up with the idea of using a flower-a-month punch card program as a fund-raiser.

The first year of the program was an overwhelming success, raising over $1000 in just a few weeks.  With the conclusion of the 2017 Blooms for Diabetes Education campaign, the girls presented another $1,035 to the WMC Foundation.
