A $4 million addition to Wellington Place Nursing & Rehabilitation in Freeport is on schedule to open in May.
Construction crews are working to create 17 large private suites for skilled rehabilitation clients. It will be the first such facility in the area. The large suites will have access to a state-of-the-art therapy center that will help people get stronger faster so they can get back home quicker. The 17-room wing will also include a private dining area, spacious community living area, wi-fi access and access to outdoor patios.
Said Wellington Place CEO Scott Marnin, "This modern high-tech rehab addition will provide the community and surrounding area with short-term rehab-to-home options without being integrated with long-term care residents."
Wellington Place will host an informational meeting at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14th at the new facility. The meeting will include a hard hat tour.
