On Friday at 11:30 pm the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office received a report of a car in the ditch on County Road B-32 west of Ossian. The driver, 26-year-old Katie Ann White of Sumner was charged with Serious Misdemeanor O.W.I. First Offense and Serious Misdemeanor Possession of Methamphetamine. The passenger, 43-year-old Vincent Edward Hackman of Sumner was charged with Aggravated Misdemeanor Possession of Methamphetamine Second Offense. Both were arrested and taken to the Winneshiek County Jail.
On Saturday at 8:30 pm the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office received a report of four males sitting in their vehicle smoking marijuana in the Wal-Mart parking lot. 23-year-old Mohamedrashid Hassan Mohamed, 21-year-old Mohamed Salman Abdi, and Dimbil Abdi, all of Postville, were charged with Serious Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana. 25-year-old Igal Ayanle, also of Postville, was charged with Serious Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Second Offense. The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office arrested the four males and transported them to the Winneshiek County Jail. The sheriff's office was assisted by the Decorah Police Department.
