Two outbuildings destroyed and a third damaged in a fire

At 8:57 p.m. Sunday, the Decorah Fire Department responded to a report of an outbuilding fire at 2536 143rd Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters found two outbuildings fully engulfed in flames and a small fire in a third building. All fires were extinguished. Two of the buildings are a total loss, with minor fire damage to the third building.  

The fire started in one building and then spread to the adjacent buildings. The Decorah Fire Department was on the scene for about 2 ½ hours and was assisted by Frankville Fire Department, Winneshiek Medical Center Ambulance, MiEnergy and Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department.
