Six Decorah HS athletes are recognized for their academic achievements

Six Decorah High School fall sports athletes have been recognized for their achievements in the classroom.

Senior volleyball player Anna Hanson was one of 121 seniors in Iowa to earn academic all-state honors from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.  Anna is the daughter of Davis and Brenda Hanson.

Senior cross country runners Jenna Galligan and Kaitlyn Rooney were two of 37 female runners and senior runner Jarod Phillips was one of 43 male student athletes in Iowa to receive academic all-state honors from the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.  Jenna is the daughter of David and Lori Galligan and Kaitlyn is the daughter of Dave and Annette Rooney.  Jarod is the son of Bradley and Lori Phillips.

Senior football players Blake Courtney and Jake Muhlbauer were two of 101 student athletes from Class 3A to receive academic all-state honors from the Iowa Football Coaches Association.  Blake is the son of Scott and Amy Courtney and Jake is the son of Todd and Dawn Muhlbauer.
