Luther College's Nancy Gates Madsen awarded outstanding book award

A Luther college professor has won a literary award.

Associate Professor of Spanish Nancy Gates Madsen has been awarded the Katherine Singer Kovacs Prize for an outstanding book published in English or Spanish in the field of Latin American and Spanish Literatures and cultures.  Madsen's book, "Trauma, Taboo and Truth-Telling: Listening to Silences in Postdictatorship Argentina," was published by the University of Wisconsin Press.
