The Decorah Police Department is working to fill two vacancies

The Decorah Police Department currently has two vacancies on its staff.

Wednesday morning the Decorah Civil Service Commission will take steps to begin filling those openings. The commission has interviews with eight candidates for the job of Police Officer in Decorah. Starting at 8:30 a.m. and every half hour afterward, commission members will meet with a candidate for oral interviews. The commission will then discuss the results of its interviews and make a report to Police Chief Bill Nixon about the candidates.
