Sixth grader wins Decorah Middle School Geography Bee

6th grader Simon Kutz has won the Decorah Middle School Geography Bee.  It's the second year in a row Simon has won the Middle School Geography Bee--he finished first as a 5th grader last year.

Students in 5th through 8th grade participated in the competition, where they were given seven geography questions covering American states and countries around the world.

Next up for Simon--taking a state qualifying test.  If he is selected based on test results, as he was last year, he will compete at the Iowa State Geography Bee in April.
