Letter to the Editor: Iowa Republicans have no shame

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Randy Haugen of Decorah):

"Once again the Tea Party Republicans such as Mike Breitbach have failed Iowans.  What happened to that growth agenda on the campaign trail that would create 200,000 new jobs and increase family incomes?  Instead they are offering a 'massive budget cut' that will hurt many Iowans.

Our state universities and community colleges, the state's justice system and human services are going to get cut 50 million dollars and maybe more because Mike and his party have failed us again,  As Joe Biden once said, 'Don't tell me what you value, show me your budget, and I'll tell you what you value.'

It's apparent the Republicans do not value a good affordable education for those who wish to go to college.  But tax breaks to one of the biggest corporations in the world--Apple--to the sum of around 200 million dollars over time for 50 jobs is a priority to them.  Yes, 50 jobs.

The GOP has no shame."
