Winneshiek County Cattlemen are accepting applications for scholarships and for beef royalty

Winneshiek County Cattlemen have begun accepting applications for their 2018 Beef Royalty.

Beef Queen candidates must be in either Junior High or Senior High.  Little Miss Cowgirl candidates must be between the ages of 9 and 11 as of March 10th.  A new category this year is "Mr. Cowhand," whose candidates also must be between the ages of 9 and 11 as of March 10th.   Applications in all three categories are due by February 9th. 

2018 scholarship applications are also available now.  Scholarships are open to high school seniors or college freshman.  Those applications are also due February 9th.

The 2018 Winneshiek County Cattlemen's Beef Banquet will be held Saturday, March 10th, at Festina Community Center.  Tickets are available from all board members or call Leroy at (563) 380-0136.
