A Decorah woman last year was one of the people chosen to attend the first "Iowa Walking College," an educational program created to increase the number of walking advocates in local communities across the state. April Bril called it "a great experience."
Now applications are being accepted for the second Iowa Walking College. Twenty fellowships will be awarded to Iowans to take part in the six-month on-line and in person program aimed at improving walkability around the state.
The Healthiest State program is accepting applications now until March 1st. Additional information about the Iowa Walking College and application forms are available at http://www.iowahealthieststate.com/iowa-walking-college/.
