DHS vocalist selected to perform at the Dorian Music Festival grand concert

Nearly 1,100 high school juniors and seniors from 240 Midwest schools participated in the 2018 Luther College Dorian Vocal Festival held at Luther College.

Each year at this festival, a solo competition is held to select individuals to perform in the festival grand concert. For the second year, Decorah High School senior Abby Trewin, daughter of Pat and Karen Trewin, was one of five selected to perform in the festival concert.

Abby performed "Spirate pur, spirate" by Stefano Donaudy for an audience of 1,500 plus those streaming online.

Abby commented, "I appreciate receiving this honor during my junior and senior years and the opportunity to represent my community. I would like to thank all of those who have helped me get to this point in my musical development."
