The results are in...and Helping Services for Families & Children says the 2017 edition of "Holiday Lights, Magical Nights" set a number of records.
Free will donations were up 34 percent this year. Over 450 volunteers helped to set up the lights, greet visitors and help make the event run smoothly. The opening night "Walk-Through Night" attracted 700 people and featured donation soup, cookies and hot chocolate.
2017 was the first year the display surpassed 300 visitors in one evening--and it did that twice this year. Overall, 2017's attendance broke the all time record by 1,070 cars.
