An unoccupied vehicle rolls into another and causes $2,500 in damages

The Decorah Police Department reports two unoccupied vehicles were damaged in an accident Thursday afternoon.

According to the report, a 1993 Honda Accord that was legally parked at the corner of Linn Street and East Broadway Street somehow jumped out of gear and rolled downhill on Linn Street. The unoccupied vehicle struck the right rear of a 2006 Chevrolet 1500 truck that was legally parked in the driveway of 603 East Main Street.

The accident caused an estimated $1,500 of damage to the Honda, and $1,000 to the Chevrolet.
