Calmar man faces charges following Fayette County accident

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was notified Tuesday night of a vehicle in the ditch on O Avenue, just south of 230th Street, approximately 3 miles west of West Union.
34-year-old Darren Peyton of Calmar was driving a Silver 2004 Pontiac Bonneville when he lost control and entered the west side ditch. There were no injuries reported and the car appeared to have no damage.
Peyton was arrested for Driving While License Suspended (simple misdemeanor) and Failure to Maintain Control. Peyton was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail.
