Decorah Police arrest three people in two incidents over the weekend

A Decorah man and a Cresco man face charges after allegedly fighting early Monday morning in the alley behind the Corner Bar in Decorah.  Police arrived in the area around 1:45 a.m. and took two people into custody--39-year-old Matthew Bowen of 202 West Main Street, Apartment 12, in Decorah and 24-year-old Jacob Wurst of 231 Third Avenue in Cresco.  Both were charged with Public Intoxication.

Also arrested over the weekend was 25-year-old Chance Beard of Decorah.  Police officers found a man lying under a car on Washington Street.  Beard told officers he did not know how long he had been lying outside.  After begin checked out by medical staff, Beard was arrested on a charge of Third or Subsequent Offense Public Intoxication.
