Illinois resident given two tickets following car accident

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to Quarry Hill Road around 2:30 Saturday morning.  When they arrived, they found 22-year-old Michael Ruiz of Forreston, Illinois and saw his car in a ditch.

Deputies determined Ruiz was traveling north up a steep hill and fishtailed side to side several times before sliding into the ditch.  His car suffered $1,500 in damages.  Ruiz was ticketed for Failure to Maintain Control and for Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.
