The "Northeast Security Bank" name could be going up in three more towns in NE Iowa

In a consolidation move being made in the interests of efficiency, the parent company of Northeast Security Bank has filed papers with the State Banking Commission for permission to merge its two separate bank branches.

Independence Bancshares has been operating Security State Bank in Independence, Urbana and Dysart in addition to the Northeast Security Bank branches in Decorah, Sumner, Fairbank and Fredericksburg.

Under the papers filed with the state, the banking firm would change all of its offices to "Northeast Security Bank" offices.  The move would have no impact on the Northeast Security Bank operations and would result in no changes at the Decorah office, but is being made in the interests of simplifying the operation, a bank official tells decorahnews.com
