The Winneshiek County Board has appointed representatives to two county committees.
Former county supervisor Dennis Karlsbroten has been elected to serve a five-year term on the county's Planning & Zoning Commission. Supervisors picked Karlsbroten over another applicant because of his farm background and his county board experience.
An opening on the County's Historical Preservation Commission has been filled by David Wadsworth. Wadsworth is a Glenwood Township resident with a construction business concentrating on historic preservation and energy conservation projects.
One final opening exists which county supervisors still need to fill--the county's representative on the board of Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission.
