Posted: Tue, Dec 19, 2017 9:26 AM

Decorah High School's 31st Annual Madrigal Dinner will take place at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 28th, at Decorah High School.

Advanced tickets are $25 each and are on sale now at the Decorah High School main office during school hours. Only 220 tickets are available and will be sold until noon on Wednesday, January 24th. This event has sold out in the past.

If guests would like to sit together, tickets must be purchased as a group. Each table will seat six people, and seating will be assigned with consideration given to the order tickets are purchased. Each ticket includes a meal fit for a king or queen: wassail punch; garden salad (chopped romaine and kale in house vinaigrette with cucumbers, tomato, red onion, and croutons); dinner rolls; seared pork tenderloin rolled with prosciutto ham and fresh sage accompanied by Dijon mustard cream; dauphine potatoes; green beans and carrots; chocolate gianduja torte (hazelnut chocolate with caramel crisp crust and whipped cream); and coffee. Advanced orders of vegetarian entrées and gluten-free options are available when purchasing tickets.

Guests will be treated to music of the Renaissance performed by vocalists, recorders, strings, and brass; and they will be entertained by a group of actors performing the comedic play "Mertonsire and the Pirate's Tale."
