Municipal electric utility feasibility study near completion

The feasibility study looking into the question of whether Decorah ought to establish a municipal electric utility is in the process of wrapping up.

Representatives from Decorah Power, the community organization which authorized the study, say the study ought to be completed in early January.  The study would be presented to and discussed with the Decorah City Council shortly thereafter and then released to the public.
 
Decorah Power would then decide whether it wants to pursue a referendum on the issue.
