Decorah Auto Center officially dedicates its new location

The newest location of a car dealership in Decorah held an official ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday.

Decorah Auto Center is celebrating its new 28,000 square foot building and five acres of property at the intersection of Highway 9 & 52 in Decorah.  The new building is twice as big as the previous building it occupied on Highway 9 near Walmart.

The bigger facilities have allowed Decorah Auto Center to include a state-of-the-art service center, a separate room for detailing cars and trucks and even new equipment which automatically checks tire condition and vehicle alignment.

Decorah Auto Center plans to eventually have almost 200 vehicles on its lot--an increase of some 50 vehicles.  With the bigger parking space, there will be more room to display each vehicle.

The former Decorah Auto Center building on Highway 9 is now the site of Decorah Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram--the fifth dealership to be operated by KAR Auto Group.
