Letter to the Editor: One way to keep overweight semis from crossing bridges

(Bill Wagner has submitted this Letter to the Editor in response to a decorahnews.com article about the Dahly Bridge):

"As a driver of a large, heavy commercial vehicle, I offer a possible solution to the problem of overweight vehicles crossing bridges with a low weight limit.

 A county that wants to prevent an event such as this may want to consider adding a low clearance feature to the bridge.  Large commercial vehicles generally are much higher than passenger vehicles and such an impediment may help to prevent those vehicles from crossing. 

Nothing can fix "stupid", but a visual clue may help to prevent this type of an event from occurring."
