In this era of digital music at our fingertips, it's hard to believe that music used to be recorded onto wax cylinders.
Aase Haugen Assisted Living Coordinator Carolyn Sexton recently brought in a 1905 Edison Victrola music player and some wax cylinders to share with the residents. Sexton says many of the songs were about war, patritotism and love -- popular subject matters during the turn of the century.
