The Decorah Public Library will no longer be open on Sundays

The Board of Trustees of the Decorah Public Library has decided to close the library on Sundays after December 17th.

Library Director Kristin Torresdahl says the board looked at figures pertaining to the number of people using the library and the number of books checked out on Sundays and determined staying open on Sunday afternoons "is not a good use of our resources."

The closings on Sundays will begin with the Christmas weekend
