West Side Laundromat celebrates its new location

When people visit Decorah--especially if they're staying at a campground or at an Airbnb or VRBO rental--having a good laundromat in town is important.

That's where West Side Laundry comes into play.  Owners Tade and Natalie Kerndt bought the laundromat business from Pulpit Rock Brewery owner Pete Espinosa when Espinosa wanted to expand his brewery into the part of his building that had been dedicated to the Bottle Tree Laundromat.

The Kerndts move the laundromat across the street to 206 College Drive, into the former Bob's Standard building they had purchased.  Last week members of the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the business, also getting a tour of the new washing machines and dryers installed into the space.
