Traffic accident Thursday damages traffic signal

A man from Texas struck a traffic signal in downtown Decorah on Thursday afternoon, according to Decorah Police.

61-year-old Gary Tutt from Humble, Texas was driving north on River Street shortly before 4:00 Thursday afternoon in a semi when he cut the corner too closely and struck the traffic signal, causing $3,100 in damages.

As of Friday morning the damages had been repaired.
