Yes, political yard signs can be recycled

With Tuesday's city elections finished, it's time to recycle those political yard signs.

Winneshiek County Recycling Manager Terry Buenzow has a container at Winneshiek Recycling Center for any political signs needing to be recycled.

Political signs are recycled and used in various ways. The corrugated plastic signs are used to line the bales of clothing. They are then shipped to Canada and exported for reuse.
