The Decorah City Council has tabled the request for payment to Winneshiek County of $34,267.28 for past use of IT equipment.
That was a change from the county's original request of $45,967.74, which was based on the city and county continuing their sharing agreement for computer equipment for the seven-year life of the IT equipment. The city dissolved its agreement with the county to share IT personnel, then the county dissolved its agreement to share IT server equipment, so the original request was adjusted to reflect those changes.
County supervisors had given the city until November 10th to make their payment and it was anticipated that the City Council would authorize that payment on Monday night. However, City Manager Chad Bird said there was still no completed 28E agreement with the county regarding future equipment sharing. Consequently, the Council voted unanimously to table the issue of payment until such an agreement is in place.
