First on decorahnews.com: Work on Highways 9 & 52 intersection will carry over to next spring

Motorists will have to contend with the Highways 9 & 52 intersection construction project into 2018.  Iowa DOT Design Engineer Nick Humpal says it looks like the complete reconstruction of the intersection will not be completed this year.  Humpal says there have been no unanticipated delays, but the project has progressed slowly "due to the complex and multiple stages to maintain traffic in all directions."
 
Construction crews will continue to work for as long as they can this fall with the goal of eliminating lane shifts over the winter.  Work will resume next spring.
