Iowa DNR has not yet received a floodplain fill permit application from Menards

It's now beginning to look more likely that a decision by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources on an application by Menard's to fill in the Freeport floodplain will not occur until after the end of 2017.
 
DNR officials tell decorahnews.com they have not yet received such an application.  Application reviews normally take 30 to 60 days, but the holidays would extend that schedule.
