City of Decorah leaf pickup moves to Ward 3 starting Monday

The City of Decorah will be offering leaf pickup in Ward 3 starting Monday, October 30th.

City crews will pick up only leaves—the vacuum cannot pick up sticks, brush, garden refuse or other yard waste. Rake leaves into windrow piles—crews are slowed down if they have to look for and handle separate leaf piles. Please avoid parking near leaf piles on scheduled pickup days.

For City of Decorah residents living in other wards, there is round-the-clock leaf drop off at the Street Department's headquarters at 108 Railroad Avenue.  The city's compost site on Trout Run Road also is open from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. weekdays, as well as 8:00 a.m. until noon Saturday and until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evenings.
