Letter to the Editor: My campaign signs have been taken

(The following Letter to the Editor has been submitted by Charles Lore of Decorah):

In the last few months, I'm sure you have heard about the stealing of delivered packages to people's homes.  Well, I became a victim similar to this situation last Friday evening.

My circumstances are a little bit different.  No packages were stolen from the front porch, but my two large campaign signs were removed from the yard on the corner of College Drive and Crescent Avenue.  I had asked permission of the home owner to place the signs in their yard, so whomever removed the signs was trespassing illegally on private property.  Also, the removal of campaign signs is considered to be chargeable theft and damage to personal property.
