An Iowa Department of Corrections inspector has completed his report on his inspection of the Winneshiek County Jail, praising the operation of the jail.
"Winneshiek County Jail is a well-managed facility," said Chief Jail Inspector Delbert Longley in his letter to Winneshiek County officials. He noted that showers in the jail have been repaired, vents have been cleaned, food service is now provided in-house rather than contracted and a tele-medicine system has been created.
"It is a pleasure to work with the professional staff of the Winneshiek County Jail," concluded Longley.
