Winneshiek Medical Center hires new Chief Nursing Officer

Winneshiek Medical Center has a new Chief Nursing Officer.

Kathy Moritz comes to Winneshiek Medical Center from Mayo Clinic Health System--Franciscan Healthcare in La Crosse, where she has worked since 1991.  She has been in her current role as the nurse administrator for Surgical Services since 2013.  She also has been a nursing instructor for Western Technical College and Viterbo University in La Crosse.
 
Moritz received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Northeast Iowa Community College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Viterbo University and her Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Education from Viterbo University.
 
Moritz will transition into her new role in the coming weeks, succeeding Susan Heitman, who served as chief nursing officer since 2014.
