13 Decorah HS musicians selected for All-State

13 Decorah HS musicians have been selected to participate in All-State music ensembles

Thirteen students were selected as members of the 2017 ensembles: Violinist Carina Yee will participate in an All-State orchestra ensemble, while cellist James Paulson has been named a first alternate.  Sopranos Audrey Casterton, Lily Smith and Vita Domnenko, altos Emma Rooney and Abby Trewin, and basses Avery Dugger and Carston Krieg will participate in All-State choral ensembles, while tenor Noah Lovelace has been named a first alternate.  For the All-State band ensembles, oboist Lily McGohan and bass trombonist Solomon Thompson have been named first alternates, while oboist Abigail Toussaint has been named a second alternate.

Clarinetists Cassidy Carolan and Mya Herrmann, viola player Nathan Larson, alto Lillian Grouws, baritone Garrett Sorenson and tenor Sam Wilson were selected for recall auditions on Saturday.
