It's time to renew snowmobile registrations

The Winneshiek County Recorder's Office is reminding the public that snowmobile, ATV and off-road vehicle registrations will expire on December 31st.  Registrations can be renewed now at the Recorder's Office in the Courthouse from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. weekdays.
 
People caught without valid registrations will be ticketed starting January 1st.
 
Snowmobiles ridden on trails or public lands must also have a User Permit.  Those permits can also be purchased at the Recorder's Office.
